These handmade dolls have provided livelihoods to several women in Ecuador for nearly 10 years.  Shown are  five treasured 7" dolls the pickle proudly displays. 

Pie Bird Press

First met Hannah Berman of Pie Bird Press a few years ago while attending National Stationery Show in NYC.  I think it was her first time at the show and she didn't have many images but she had color!  I loved her images and color then and still do!  She now has many interesting images and we just received some of her latest.

Kolo Photo Albums

Kolo is my favorite photo album; beautiful colors of fabric make such a nice presentation.  New shipment recently with new colors and a new style that holds 100 photos and protects your pictures when viewing.

Always exciting receiving a shipment from Alexa Pulitzer and the pickle did just that today; cute little snowy owl 4.25 x 5.50 150 page note pad  - gonna love it!

MORE CATS AND DOGS ARRIVED TODAY!

Fun new cards arrived today and the cat and dog cards are part of the shipment; bright and colorful and fun!

Lucia Soap

The pickle has had the pleasure of carrying  Lucia Soap for more than 6 months and have not had a single complaint about it's quality - organic shae butter base with natural fragrances, wrapped in beautiful packages; individual bars or guest soaps packed eight bars per pack.

Kokeshi

Kokeshi are little wooden dolls from Japan.  The pickle has a journal, story book and notecards with the Kokeshi theme; too cute!

Fusion Designs are on their way to the pickle

Just ordered new cards from Fusion Designs while in NYC at the National Stationery Show and can hardly wait for their arrival!  The three cards are just a sampling of what is to come.

DON'T FORGET THE TEACHERS!

I am friends with several teachers and they deserve to be praised for the difference they make in so many lives!  The pickle has just received a new card from Curly Girl that would be perfect to give your child's teacher as the end of the school year nears.

NEW SAFARI GREEN LAMY PENS

NYC was wonderful and now home trying to rest a bit; can't wait to show you all the new as it begins to trickle in.  One shipment waiting for me on my return was the new Lamy Safari Green fountain and rollerball pens!  I love them!  

OFF TO NATIONAL STATIONERY SHOW IN NEW YORK!

Off to New York for the National Stationery Show and hope to bring new back to the pickle, especially new stationery from Rifle - I love that company!

Liberty Art Nouveau Notecard Set

Liberty from London has been around longer than all of us!  Wonderful textile designs now in notecard form to make your note extra special; just arrived at the pickle along with journals too.  You're gonna love 'em!

 

Even the most savvy fashionistas have a lot to learn from the "world's most stylish bunny" (Elle).  Fifi Lapin- a spoiled rotten illustrated rabbit and in-demand fashion blogger - knows her couture from her carrots.  Her book just arrived at the pickle and it is rather adoring!

Even a stack of empty boxes would have made my Mom happy on Mother's Day!  And I bet most Moms feel the same; just knowing she is loved is the best gift!

Don't you think your Mom deserves a crown?  We make them crazy, they make us crazy, but when it's all said and done - Mom's are pretty amazing!  And I can tell you, if my Mom was still on this earth - I would place a crown on her head!

Lizard Music by Daniel Pinkwater

The pickle has a great children's book selection and I am always on the search for vintage reprints because I am old and I think every child should read a bit of the past.  One company I appreciate is The New York Review - children's collection.  I am currently reading Lizard Music written and illustrated by the uniquest, Daniel Pinkwarter in 1976.  It is a chapter book your third grader would love, especially your young boy third grader.  Come visit Pickle Papers and see several books published by NYR - not your average 2012 books you find at the big box places!

Alexa Pulitzer

Alexa Pulitzer is an amazing stationery designer and I love her work.  One of my latest favorites is this little note tablet, Royal Couple.  

HANDMADE LEATHER JOURNALS FROM ITALY

If you are looking for a journal with history and one in which to use for writing history you must take a look at our new  leather journals handmade in Italy; paper is glorious and the leather soft  with a leather string for securing.  These journals come in red, chocolate brown and tan.  Oh and edge is hand marbled - what a treasure!
